Information on disabled persons parking (Blue Badges)

The Blue Badge enables your to park:

  • free of charge and for as long as you need at parking meters and where other people can only park for a limited time
  • for up to three hours on single yellow lines or double yellow lines, depending on certain rules and restrictions
  • free of charge in car parks operated by Fife

The badge is valid for 3 years and you automatically qualify if you:

  • receive Disability Living Allowance or Higher Rate
  • are registered blind
  • use a government provided vehicle
  • cannot walk 100m without severe discomfort
  • have severe disability of the upper limbs
  • are disabled or blined (including children over the age of 2)
