Help adapting your home

You may be entitled to a grant from your local council if you are disabled and changes are needed to your home to enable you to continue living there.

The grant can be used for types of work including: installing ramps, adapting bathrooms and improving access to rooms and facilities.

Your circumstances will be assessed and suitable adaptations or solutions will be suggested to you.

You can obtain an application form from the housing or environmental health department of your local council.

Please note, it is important that you apply for the grant BEFORE you begin any work.
