Finger to Thumb exercises

For this exercise you can sit back in your usual chair to be more comfortable.

  • Hold your hands up off your lap, then touch your thumb to each finger. Start with your first finger and end with your little finger.
  • Repeat this 2 to 3 times.
  • Now do the same with the other hand, or do both hands at the same time.
  • Finish by circling your thumbs 2 to 3 times in each direction.

As well as this activity, you can also practice doing up buttons and then undoing them (perhaps in the advert breaks whilst you watch television). Have a shirt or cardigan handy for this, so you can pick it up whenever you are motivated.
