Side Stepping

Please make sure you are warm before starting this exercise.

  • Stand tall, facing your kitchen worktop, and look ahead.
  • Hold on if needed.
  • Take 2 to 3 sideways steps, then repeat the other way.
  • Take your time, and continue until you have performed around 10 steps in total.

If your kitchen is big enough, take more than 2 to 3 steps in each direction.

As your balance improves, try the exercise without holding on to the worktop and perform up to 20 steps.
